Holas…
I am forwarding some pictures from 18 de Septiembre in Santa Sabina. It is lie the 4th of July but way cooler because they get sooo into it. They all dress up like traditional Chileans and there are 2 types…the elegant dress up and the peasant one. I dressed up like a peasant one and my compañera like the elegant one. It was pretty awesome! It was probably my most fun day on the mission. We brought a lot of people with us and it was good for people to get to know the church and the members.
Besides that everything else is going just great. Hermana Egbert and I are just trying to stay warm in these last few days of winter: ) Oh and I am sending a pic of us with Suyai, this girl we are teaching as well : )

Feliz Septiembre: )
So as this week marked the beginning of March (which is the month in which Chile celebrates it’s independence) everything here is now decorated red, white, and blue (there flag has the same colors). It’s really cool to see them all get so excited for the big celebration (the 18th). I’m looking forward to celebrating with them.
I am still very happy to be here in Santa Sabina. The ward is absolutely amazing and there are parts of this city that remind me a lot of North Upland...so I feel right at home. The sector is a lot smaller than the one in Constitución but the city is a lot bigger. The work is way different...finding new people to teach and teaching them, etc. Their needs are just so different than the needs of the people in Constitución. And since I was their for 9 months, it was kind of hard to adjust. But I feel like I am finally getting the hang of things and I am really excited because I feel like there is a LOT of potencial here.
Well I hope everyone is enjoying the fall!
